Calymea is 1 hr from Wollongong and 2 hrs from Sydney.
Calymea is largely undiscovered and numbers are limited.
Calymea sits on the banks of the picturesque Shoalhaven River and is surrounded by Yalwal State Forest.
Calymea is surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains and is protected from most winds.
The water is fresh water which is kind to gear and boats.
The Beaches are sand.
The water temp sits on about 26 deg most days in summer and sometimes in the peak months around 28 deg.
There are many things to do when not skiing.
There are many lookouts within easy reach and there is nothing nicer than sitting on Pulpit Rock overlooking Calymea with a beer in hand watching the sunset .The river changes colours as the sun sets..
The fishing is mainly Bass but the waters sometimes hold flathead and bream.
There is great dirt bike riding / 4WD in the surrounding State Forest with 1000's of kilometers of trails.
Yalwal goldfields are 15 Klm's away. It is possible to ride through some of the mines [hard without a headlight].
We charge $20 per night and $12 for kids to access camp sites. Table, chairs supplied and picnic table, toilets , hot showers and swing out Barby over fire pit plus boat ramp. [ Bring your own chain saw].
Our facility is not open to the Public and is by invitation only.
This means we have security and are well aware who has access.
You can leave your camp, car, trailer , boat and gear with peace of mind.
Canoe hire and power boat hire is available on request.
Boat Ramp is available.
Dominoes deliver for an extra $7 for those that do not want to cook.
A Public Liability waiver will be signed on entry. You are in charge of your own liability when on Calymea. Enter at your own risk!
